A Simple Solution To Help Make 2021 A Stellar Year

As we bring 2020 to an close, the staff at Hound Power looks forward to making 2021 the best it can be. It goes without saying that 2020 was full of challenges, so many people were hit hard in so many ways it is hard to imagine. While the news tends to focus on the negative, we as humans have the ability to make things better for those around us while making a positive impact on ourselves.

We stumbled upon this fun lesson from a very wise professor. While the origin of this exercise is unknown, and may not even be true, we thought it provided the perfect visual example of how we at Hound Power want to go forward into the new year. We appreciate our family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and all of you, humans, out there that we haven’t had the fortune to meet yet. We wish you a very happy and prosperous year ahead.

Can You Find Your Name in 5 Minutes?

A professor gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it, and throw it in the hallway.  The professor then mixed all the balloons and gave the students 5 minutes to find their own.  Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.  At that point, the professor told the students to take the first balloon they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it.  Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.

The professor said to his students:

“These balloons are like happiness.  We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people’s happiness…we will find ours too!
